The well-known YouTuber MrBeast has formally made an offer to purchase TikTok.

TikTok was given a seventy-five-day grace period by US President Donald Trump to find a qualified non-Chinese buyer in order to avoid the US ban. As part of a group of investors, it appears that well-known YouTuber MrBeast is now considering the possibility of purchasing TikTok. On January 13, Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, posted on X, saying, “All right, I’ll buy Tik Tok so it doesn’t get banned.” His attorneys told CNN that he was being serious, despite the fact that many people thought this was a joke.

TikTok’s exciting week has been made much more dramatic by Donaldson and a group of investors. With a statewide ban looming, the app was offline for a short while on Saturday night. However, it was back online around 12 hours later after President Donald Trump announced he would sign an executive order delaying the ban by 75 days. Two days after expressing his opinions about X, Donaldson posted a video on TikTok declaring his intention to buy the app.
MrBeast Is Serious About Business
“I just got out of a meeting with a bunch of billionaires,” Mr. Beast stated in a video. We mean business, TikTok. My lawyer is here, and we want to purchase the platform. We have an offer ready for you.
A representative for the Paul Hastings law firm, which represents the consortium making the offer, told CNN that the bid comes after the Supreme Court upheld a federal regulation requiring TikTok to be sold to a non-China-based corporation. The group, which is led by Employer.com founder and CEO Jesse Tinsley, is made up of “institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals” who are dedicated to keeping the app available in the US market.
According to the investor group, the planned acquisition seeks to keep TikTok running smoothly so that its 170 million American users may access it without any problems. “Our offer represents a win-win solution that preserves this vital platform, while addressing legitimate national security concerns,” Tinsley said in a statement.
