With fans eager for any kind of update in the most anticipated game ever, GTA 6 whispers and conjecture are still rampant online.
The first and only official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 was released in December 2023, and that is the only official content we have received from Rockstar Games. Since then, the studio has not provided any updates.
During an earnings call earlier in November, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two affirmed that GTA 6 is still scheduled for release in the autumn of 2025.
It appears like Rockstar has put an end to rumours that it will make an announcement during the holidays.
With a straightforward two-word Tweet, Rockstar Games appears to have put an end to any rumours that there would be any GTA 6-related content during the holidays.
“Happy Holidays!” the studio posted on social media, quoting a recent Tweet of a holiday update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
That seems to suggest that Rockstar is wrapping up for the holiday season and that there won’t be any GTA 6 updates at that time.
Screenshots over the holiday season are not excluded by “Insider.”

The ‘source’ who claimed that any conjecture on the release of trailer 2 on December 27 is “pure delusion” has not ruled out Rockstar providing any screenshots.
Through datamining, @TezFunz2, an X/Twitter user, is thought to possess insider knowledge about the studio.
On Christmas Eve of 2012, Rockstar made GTA 5 screenshots public.
When questioned about it, @TezFunz2 reaffirmed that the screenshots were “automated,” which means they were planned for that time and wouldn’t have been shared during the holiday break for Rockstar staff.
