According to a statement made by a member of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s domestic staff, police sources told NDTV this evening that the man who attacked him at his home in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra West neighbourhood early on Thursday morning had wanted a ransom of Rs 1 crore. According to the staff member, a nurse who looks after Mr. Khan’s four-year-old son Jehangir, the assailant with the knife initially went into the boy’s room.
Following the demand, an attack occurred that injured three people: Saif Ali Khan, 54, the nurse, and another staff member. Mr. Khan was stabbed six times, causing injuries to his spinal cord, and his son Ibrahim took him to the city’s Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw after his car was delayed.
According to specialists, the actor’s health is presently stable.
