Netanyahu’s remarks demonstrate how the Israeli occupation disobeys international law

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which consists of six countries, has sharply denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments about the creation of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia as “dangerous and irresponsible.”
Netanyahu’s remarks, according to GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, demonstrate the Israeli occupation’s contempt for international law, UN conventions, and state sovereignty.
He underlined the need for a two-state solution with an independent Palestinian state, having occupied East Jerusalem as its capital, and reiterated the GCC’s steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Albudaiwi further warned that such rhetoric jeopardises regional and international stability and encouraged the international community to adopt a strong position against what he called “aggressive Israeli statements.”
