
RIYADH: Visionaries, innovators, and investors from all over the world will gather in Riyadh starting February 9 for Saudi Arabia’s premier technology event, LEAP 2025. The most recent edition comes after last year’s historic LEAP 2024, which witnessed $13.4 billion in project commitments and investments.
The goal of LEAP 2025, which has as its subject “Into New Worlds,” is to increase business networking and investment opportunities in the technology industry. In line with its Vision 2030 aim to diversify the economy, the event is essential to Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a global centre for technology. The Kingdom has committed $100 billion to developing its technology sector as part of this strategy.
According to a World Economic Forum report, Saudi Arabia’s GDP will increase by $16 billion by 2030 as a result of investments in R&D and innovation.
The government has promised to investing 2.5 percent of the nation’s annual GDP in the sector by 2040.
Tahaluf and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology are co-organizers of LEAP 2025, with the help of the Events Investment Fund, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, and Informa PLC.
More than 680 tech companies, 1,100 speakers, 1,800 technology brands, and more than 170,000 attendees are anticipated at this year’s LEAP, according to the event’s website.
