According to his public relations team, Saif Ali Khan, 54, was stabbed multiple times during what seemed to be a break-in at his Mumbai home.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was taken to the hospital early on Thursday by Bhajan Singh Rana, the driver, after a woman ran up and yelled, “roko, roko, roko (stop, stop, stop)”.
According to his public relations staff, the 54-year-old actor was stabbed multiple times during what appeared to be a break-in at his Mumbai residence.
“Linkin Road was my route. Satguru Niwas is the name of the building in which Saif Ali Khan resides. A woman yells, “Rickshaw, rickshaw, rickshaw, roko, roko, roko” (stop, stop, halt) as she rushes forward. Then she requested that the car be stopped close to the building gate’, Mr Rana said NDTV.
The driver of the car was unaware that Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor, was the injured guy he was transporting to the hospital.
It was unknown to me that he was Saif Ali Khan. There was an urgent situation. Even I was anxious about the identity of the passenger boarding my car. I was afraid of getting into trouble. And that’s why I felt anxious,” Mr. Rana stated.
“Saif was dressed in a white shirt that had blood on it. “A young man and a child sat with him,” the driver of the car stated, recounting the events.
The driver claimed that the actor answered, “Take me to Lilavati,” when he asked if he should drive to Holy Family or Lilavati Hospital.
The car driver stated that when they arrived at the hospital, a guard was summoned and the medical professionals gathered. At that point, the passenger identified himself as “I am Saif Ali Khan.”
At that moment, the driver discovered that Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor, was riding in his car.
Doctors at the Lilavati Hospital, where the actor was taken after the incident at his home, claimed he was “out of danger” after an emergency surgery.
When asked if Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, was there when the actor was taken to the hospital, the driver of the car replied, “I did not notice.”
Mr. Khan is the son of Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi.
The 2001 blockbuster Dil Chahta Hai and the well-liked Netflix crime series Sacred Games are among his acting credits.
