The first glimpse of Alice in Borderland season 3 has been released by Netflix, and following the latest episode (no, not that one), the joker is a major theme.
The teaser art, which you can see below, features three figures standing on a rooftop staring up at a large joker card in the sky. Season 2 concluded with a close-up of the joker on a table full of playing cards, hinting at a character we haven’t yet met in the series. Netflix tweeted, “You’re not ready for the final game,” along with the image.
For the last game, you’re not prepared.Season Three of Alice in Borderland Coming in 2025
People are compelled to play risky games, the difficulty of which is illustrated by various playing cards, in Alice in Borderland, which is set in an abandoned version of Tokyo. These games allow them to prolong their “visas” in the city and prolong their lives in an effort to return to reality. Players are killed by lasers fired from the sky when their visas expire.
Based on Haro Aso’s manga of the same name, the anime stars Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijirō Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Aya Asahina, and Dori Sakurada. Season 1 debuted in 2020, and season 2 followed in 2022. The second installment saw 61.2 million hours of viewing, which was the most for a Japanese series on the streaming service in a single week. Fans had to wait a year for season 3 confirmation, but the show was renewed for a second season just two weeks after it debuted on Netflix.
In September 2025, the third season of Alice in Borderland will be available on Netflix. While we wait, add our selections of the top Netflix series currently available to your watchlist.
