On Thursday, two locations in Los Angeles will host a charity concert featuring a star-studded lineup to aid in the region’s recovery from two of the biggest disasters in its history.
The FireAid charity performance, which is taking place concurrently at two sizable locations in the city, features over 20 performers from a variety of genres.
Sting, P!nk, Lil Baby, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, and Earth Wind & Fire are among the artists scheduled to perform. Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and No Doubt are among the acts on the schedule that were born in the Los Angeles area.
At FireAid, who is performing?
On Thursday night, the performances will take place at two sizable arenas, the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome, which are around a mile apart. The performances, which are expected to feature two to four songs by each singer, will begin approximately one and a half hours apart.
Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Tate McRae, and Earth, Wind & Fire are among the performers at Intuit Dome.
Alanis Morissette, Anderson Paak, Dawes, Graham Nash, Green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, No Doubt, Pink, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, the Black Crowes, and John Mayer are among the performers at the Kia Forum.
A “critical illness in the family” caused Dave Matthews, who was also scheduled to perform at the second event, to withdraw on Wednesday night.
According to the organisers, there won’t be any downtime between artists because the concerts will be spaced out and broadcast on big screens at both arenas.
Special guests are also anticipated to appear on the shows, which will focus on the people affected by the flames and the first responders who assisted in putting out the infernos.
Is it possible to view the show at home?
Indeed. On websites including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+, Hulu, Facebook, Instagram, Max, Netflix, Tudum, Paramount+, Peacock, NBC News Now, YouTube, and KTLA, it will be available for free streaming, according to the organisers.
Additionally, a few AMC and Regal theatres in the US will screen the concert.
At 18:00 in Los Angeles, 21:00 in New York, and 2:00 on Friday in the UK, the music begins.
