YouTuber Zara Dar disclosed that she left her PhD to work for OnlyFans, pointing out that Pornhub paid her more for her STEM videos.

YouTuber Zara Dar, who gained notoriety overnight after announcing that she was leaving her PhD to work as an adult content creator on OnlyFans, has revealed that she uploads her STEM films to adult video websites.
Dar revealed in a post on X and LinkedIn that she has been posting her movies to both Pornhub and YouTube, and that she surprise makes more money on Pornhub.
“I post the identical STEM films on Pornhub and YouTube, but people might not be aware of this. Even though YouTube often receives more views, Pornhub’s ad revenue per million views is almost three times greater, she disclosed.
Dar also revealed that once the post got viral on LinkedIn, her account was disabled since it compared the ad revenue per view on the two websites.
“I shared the same post on LinkedIn and X, contrasting the ad revenue I usually receive per view on Pornhub, where I put my STEM films, with YouTube. She claimed on X, “My account was unexpectedly blocked without prior notice, even though the post went semi-viral on LinkedIn and many Top Voices reached out to me.”
Dar had stated in December that she had chosen to put OnlyFans first because it was a more lucrative alternative than continuing with her doctorate. She added that it freed her from the constraints of a career centred on academia. She did, however, promise to keep posting STEM-related content.
