Haliey Welch, popularly known as the Hawk Tuah girl, has finally addressed claims of a “rug pull” in relation to the $Hawk meme coin initiative. According to a class-action lawsuit filed by investors, the cryptocurrency effort, which was introduced in early December, caused large financial losses as a result of purported wrongdoing by its promoters.
Welch pledged to address the fallout in a statement published on December 20 on Twitter/X:
Welch added, “I want to address my fans, the impacted investors, and the larger community because I take this situation very seriously.” “The legal team representing the affected individuals has my full cooperation and my commitment to help them find the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter.”
A link for impacted investors to get in touch with the legal companies pursuing the case was also supplied by Welch.
The debate is based on claims that Alex Larson Schultz and other project developers and promoters sold off large amounts of their interests, which caused the coin’s value to fall. The plan was allegedly created to take advantage of Welch’s viral fame, according to investors.
Welch’s representative explained her minimal role by saying she was only paid an initial sponsorship fee and had no control over the project. They claimed that the project’s backers aimed to profit off her achievement.
While trying to clear her name and help those impacted, Welch intends to carry on hosting her podcast, Talk Tuah with Haliey Welch, in spite of the chaos.
